It’s no secret that we’re losing family farmers,
ranchers and fishermen. Lots of research tells us:

The majority of American family farmers
will disappear from the land in the next decade

…unless we change the way we do business.

Why? Well, how about the fact the net assets of American farmers
have fallen by $500 billion dollars since 1980?

The Association of Family Farms means to reverse that trend, saving the livelihoods of our disappearing food producers by helping them provide America’s families with the food moms and dads (and even kids) are asking for.

Family food. From our families, to yours.

AFF is the business development initiative of the Agriculture of the Middle Task Force, which studied the problem and agreed with Larry Yee from the University of California to create new market structures for our system of growing, processing, selling and consuming food.

How? By linking more producers into supply chains called value chains – business partnerships where growers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers or restaurants, and consumers make sure that everyone gets enough value out of the chain, in terms of profits and health, to stay in the chain.

It’s how lots of businesses are working with their suppliers to keep their customers happy. It’s how AFF is saving America’s family farms, ranches and fisheries by helping them feed America’s families what they want to eat.

Because she said so!

None of this could happen without increasing demand from moms across America for superior food choices – whether they’re organic, beyond organic, local or natural.

Hey, you remember what your mother used to say when you asked her why you had to do something she wanted?

“Because I said so!” she’d say. And that was enough.

She’s saying so again. She’s looking for food she can trust, tired of losing control over what goes into her children’s mouths and angry at marketers who try to sway them.

She’s telling us what she wants. And you have the power to grow and sell this food to her.

Why miss out?

If you produce the food she wants and want to bring it to market, sell it to her or feed her family at a restaurant, school or hospital, let us know.

She wants to hear from you. And she will pay you for what she wants. Contact us and let’s start the conversation.
